K-POP Unleashed 05/07/2012

K-POP Unleashed 05/07/2012

A lot of underrated groups this week along with the more popular ones. We really hope to you love them as much as we do. Spread the Kpop joy~.

T-ara - Day By Day (02/07/2012)
This MV seemed more like a movie trailer than an actual song to begin with. It has a very fantasy/sci-fi feel to it, what with all the members having powers *EXO?*. Let's focus on the MV first, we like how it all looks and the fact that it shows girl power however it does drag on a little too long. We love the grey filter effect that it has and the acting of T-ara but the abrupt cuttings of the song makes it harder for us to get back into the original rhythm of the song itself. Especially the scene of the fight where it's heavy one second and suddenly very sad the next.
Overall, they've done a great job in this MV and it does stand out from the other releases however it would have been better if maybe it was shortened to 6-7 mins. Plus we're guessing there's a sequential video as the ending is still unknown.....who knows how long that's going to be.

Super Junior - Sexy, Free & Single (02/07/2012)
Finally our 13 10 members are back and they're sexy, free and single; ready to mingle(!) Like many other Super Junior members, this song contains one of the catchiest beats we've listened to (which helps when we see them dance *drools*)
In this MV, all the members have more or less equally distributed their time and considering that there are ten of them they have done a brilliant job (some other groups need to take a tip or two out of this). The whole MV is dedicated to our beloved members dancing in oddly designed rooms which we're not complaining about obviously - more time to perv admire them. As a bonus, we even see Si Won's abs *oooo those abs*. Check it out below.

Younha - Run (03/07/2012)
One of the more interesting videos we must say. Here, for the whole video, we see someone running, crawling, frolicking away from what seems like a flying whale... It's a contrast to T-ara's MV as this focuses more on Younha's voice which is sweet and melodic as ever.
Her voice is so perfect for a fantasy based MV like this; smooth and high but not annoying. We quite like the song and we hope you do too.
Congratulations on a successful comeback. Watch the flying whale below.

CHI CHI - Love is energy (28/06/2012)
We've never really been avid followers of this group so we don't know where to start or finish. Here we have their 3rd single which unfortunately is neither great nor bad. It's something we enjoyed for the first time but we wouldn't really go back for seconds (Purely our opinions so don't hate >.<)
The MV is very simple (like most MV's). It's them in a room, dancing and singing....what more can we say?
What we did like was their finger-exclusive gloves which enhanced their hand movements. It looked cool and we really do like their intricate hand dance. The members are stunning and we wish them the best of luck. Check out their simple MV below :

Handsome People - Woowei Woowei (04/07/2012)
Be ready to be bombarded with style, class and fun. Handsome people are back and this time with their catchy tune woowei woowei (said exactly how it's spelt). This song has a great blend of the electronic sound with the voice of Tei. It's great for a party and we even see that in the MV where Tei is rocking the stage.
What we did find a little weird was that the party was full of girls except for the band. They seemed to have sneaked into a girl's party hehehe.
Enjoy their sound below:

Led Apple - Run To You (04/07/2012)
The whole concept of LEDApple is to be a band who also dance which is not common. They've gone for a very C.N.Blue style (mainly Love) for this single which we do love however they also need to have their own unique concept.
None the less, the MV is fun and great for a party. They have a really cute dance to go along with the tune and everyone looks great. We get to see the members relaxed and having a good time which is nice. This is a much improved MV for LEDApple following their last single Sadness. We hope to see much more from this group!

Z;EA - Aftermath (04/07/2012)
A great song from our adorable group! This time Z:EA are back with their song which discusses the aftermath of a breakup. We must say that the MV is very well suited to their concept as it has clocks and the set - even though it's only a room with a background projection - looks awesome. The members are looking fantastic with their hair change and we do like their quirky outfits~.
The song sounds great. It's not too fast paced and not too slow to be called a ballad either. Their voices are addictive and the lyrics are absolutely amazing.
